Why now?
Your crew already has a group chat. It's great for texting and bad at Saturday's ride.
Everyone can feel this one without being shown a number. We talk to our friends constantly and see them less than we used to. The group chat is always on; the calendar stays empty.
It isn't that people stopped wanting to get together. Ask anyone and they'll tell you they wish they saw their friends more. The wanting is fine. What keeps breaking is the stretch between "we should do something" and actually standing in the same room — and every tool we have was built for one half of that or the other.
Why this?
We lived with this problem too.
Rndvu started with our own ski group in Colorado.
We had ten people from several friend groups, each wanting a different kind of day. It was hard to tell who was skiing where, and the group chat didn't help. The talkative ones buried the details, people who couldn’t go got flooded with “where are you?” and people who'd show up wouldn't scroll back to find the plan and commit.
Last season, three groups of friends turned up for one ski day and spent more time trying to find each other than skiing together.
So we set out to answer one question: how can a group chat actually work for the people coordinating their friends?

The hardest part of hanging out is getting everyone to the same place at the same time. Once your crew has done that, there's usually something nearby worth adding: a pastry pop-up down the street from where you're meeting for your morning ride, a halfpipe competition at the resort you're already heading to, a concert across from the climbing gym that starts as you're wrapping up. Event suggestions will show those right in the plan details, matched on the plan's date, area and activity, with a link to the original listing. Your crew decides what to add. We're not chasing a trend. We're building the app we wish existed for our own crews — and applying everything we've learned fixing this problem for everyone else.

We want to enable you and your friends to share those meaningful experiences with seamless, event focused forethought in every detail.
We keep it free to show up. Rndvu isn't pay-to-play: no ads inside your friend groups, no one-off charges, and no paywall on planning. Rndvu+ is for the crew leader, not a toll on everyone else.

Coordinating eight people across four schedules is genuinely hard. We do that work in the background so your group never has to feel it. If it looks easy in the app, that's the whole point.

Every product decision starts with the same question: does this help your crew actually get out the door? If the answer is no, it doesn't ship. We're not building a feed. We're building the thing that gets you to Friday night.

When you're trying to meet your friends at a trailhead at 6am, "mostly working" isn't good enough. We sweat the boring stuff — accuracy, reliability, synchronization — because that's what makes the fun stuff possible.

Every line of code in this app is in service of one thing: more time with your people, less time managing it. We design for connection, and we run the team the same way.

You decide how much of Rndvu reaches you. Mute a chat without missing the plans in it. Leave any group or business community whenever you want. Share your availability on your terms: calendar sync stays off until you turn it on, you pick which calendars it reads, and your crew only sees when you're free, never what's on your calendar.
Data Privacy
The businesses running a community can't read your private group chats.
A business can post announcements and events to its community. What its admins can see is limited to their own community:
Members' names
Who RSVP'd to an event, and how they answered
Comments and reactions on their posts and events
They cannot see your private groups, or anything inside them.

Mute any thread. Leave any group or community, any time.
→ Control what availability you share.
Your calendar is only shared with people you've added back — and only if you turn it on.
→ AI helps, but we don't keep what it makes.
Catch Me Up uses Google's Gemini to summarize what you missed, and bill splitting uses it to itemize a receipt photo. Rndvu doesn't store the summaries or the photos.
→ Some events are free.
Some are ticketed by the business running them. If there's a ticket, you'll buy it from them directly.
→ We don't read your messages to sell you anything.
When local event recommendations launch, they’ll be matched on the plan itself — date, area, activity — never on what you said.
